Sharing Smoothies

We got up this morning and went to Salem Chapel, Ben and Jessica’s church.  Ben was playing bass at both the 9:00 and the 11:00 services, so we saw him sparingly until he got home.  Milly cried when we dropped her off at the preschool room, but not for long.  She was happily playing with some toys when we picked her up. After Milly and Graelyn took their naps we went to Old Salem.  We walked around a bit, took some pictures, played in some fields.  I like going there and would really love a chance to have a real look at some of the old houses.  It seems almost strange that so many of these houses, most of them …

Tangled and Tanglewood

Milly and Graelyn sleeping in same room went just peachy until about 6:45 when Amanda and I heard Milly saying, “Hey, Graelyn!”  There was a lot of chatter (and the occasional fussy noise) for a bit.  Eventually I went and got Milly to bring her into the guest room with me and Amanda, but then Graelyn got upset at being left behind, so I put them both in Daniel’s crib (which he’s not using yet) played Tangled on the iPad at the other end of the crib.  Amazingly, they both sat there for most of the movie until Ben came and got them.  In fact, all I remember either of them saying was Milly when she announced that the part …

Five Game Win Streak

Do you remember me saying that Milly cried for 40 minutes or more last night?  Well, it turns out that she’d dropped her paci outside of the pack & play once again, after we moved her.  Amanda discovered that this morning when she went to get our Bug up. I spent a portion of the morning working while blueberry pancakes were made downstairs.  They were really, really good.  After breakfast we went to Bounce U, a place very bear Ben and Jessica’s house with a bunch of inflatable play areas: slides, mazes and the like.  Graelyn was absolutely fearless, but Milly was much more guarded.  I don’t think she stood up on a single inflatable.  I think she still had …

Discounts at The Fuzzy Peach

Like DJ Lance says, I said to Milly today, “Let’s think back and remember all the fun things we did today!” We did have a fun and full day today. We went to the pool where we met up with Cyra. She and Amanda spent most of the time sunning and talking about work and movies. Amanda was pulled away now and then by Milly, who persistently requested that her mother sit in the cold water with her. I’ll be honest, that was entertaining. On the way to the car Milly fell and skinned her left knee. That was less entertaining. Milly napped shortly after we got home while Amanda and I ate lunch and such. When Milly woke up …

Thorsday

A couple days ago when Amanda and I were talking about going to see the Thor movie tonight, Thursday, I called it Thor’s day.  At first she thought I was just being a dork, but then I rattled off the other days of the week named after Norse gods: Tuesday for Tyr’s day, Wednesday for Odin’s day, Friday for Freya’s day.  Saturday, I figure might be named after Saturn, a Roman god, but it could also be after Surtr, though I don’t think it is.  I guess Sunday and Monday were left out and named after the sun and moon.  She still thought I was a geek after all that, but at least she didn’t think I was making it …
