Logan’s

We stopped in Matthews, just outside of Charlotte, for dinner at Logan’s. I texted Amanda and she was jealous, but when I talked to her later she said she and her mom (who got to Wilmington around 5:30) had been eating at Outback, which is one of my favorite restaurants. From Logan’s we headed on to the hotel, though we got turned around a little here and there. Michael and I are sharing a queen sized bed and Hannah said we looked a little funny together like that. Eveyone seems to be a little gassy tonight. Getting up early in the morning to make sure there’s time at the airport to check in Barry and Hannah’s boards. The plane leaves …

Leaving Wilmington

Amanda took the day off today so she could spend some time with me before not seeing me for a week. We spent the morning together, finished getting everything packed away then headed out for just a bit. The first thing we intended to do was to drop off the recycling, but we found out that due to people making a mess there they were no longer doing it at the Lowes Food and the next closest recycling center is off of Market, which is very inconvenient. To Michigan

I got my birth certificate today, since my mom overnighted it yesterday.  It came late in the afternoon though, and even though I left another message at the passport office at the post office, I still haven’t had anyone return my calls. Yesterday, as you may or may not have noticed, Nick Warkentien was told that his sister, Missy, had about six months to live.  When he and Amy were over here for dinner the other night they were talking about going home to Michigan later in the week.  Today Nick called me and said they were told she has days, not months, so he and Amy are looking to get back home to Michigan as soon as they couldand …
