Michael Phelps has the Most Medals

Went to the store again today and this time it went a lot better than yesterday.  We walked around a bit, Milly telling me she wanted to push a small shopping cart around.  Got to eat a doughnut while sitting outside together. I was just thinking, if not for Milly and the knowledge that she’ll wake up sometime between 7 and 8 in the morning, I could give myself all sorts of odd working hours.  Probably for the best that it’s not that way. Feel like I’m all over the place with some websites.  For many of them I’m at the point where I’m waiting for feedback or content, so I’m able to work on some of the smaller jobs, …

Good Day or Bad Day?

Milly was sick today, waking up with a hoarse voice.  She told us a few times that she was having a bad day.  After her nap though she told me, “I’m awake.  I feel better now!”  She was still a bit hoarse, but she felt well enough to affirm to me that her day turned out to be a good day. I was pretty busy working on a few websites today.  I did take some time to go with Amanda and Milly to the bank (where Milly got the sticker you see that she decided to put on her arm in the picture) and meet her grandparents, Anna and Kirsten for lunch at Atlanta Bread.  They were all going to …

The Amazing Spider-Man

Mom brought Milly in a little after 8:00 this morning and she hung out with Adam, who slept in the top bunk in the room we usually sleep in, which was originally Erin and Andra’s room but I think became Adam’s room at some point after I went to college.  I shared it with him one summer. Anyway, Dad had already left for work and Mom was working most of the morning.  Erin left for work at some point in the morning after breakfast (Amanda made eggs and I think toast, Erin made bacon) and Adam left a little after that.  Amanda and I scrubbed Harvey and Bruce down with flea killing spray then washed them both.  Kind of nice …

Welcome to Duke, Rodney Hood

I learned first thing today that Rodney Hood chose Duke over Ohio State and a couple other schools yesterday.  He’s transferring from Mississippi State and was on the SEC All-Freshman team last year.  He was projected to go in the first round of the NBA Draft if he’d elected to.  He’s also 6’8″ and can shoot the three ball decently well, which is the type of player COach K can do great things with, so we Duke fans are very excited about this choice. Up just before 6:00, got dressed in dark jeans and a long-sleeved black shirt to run cameras at church today.  Given that it was over 100 degrees yesterday and I think it was again today, that …

Group Game Night

First off, happy 34th birthday to my good buddy Jason.  I forgot to call him today, but we texted a bit tonight. As she’s been doing lately, Milly got up a bit early and got in bed with me.  She ate dry cereal and watched PBS Kids while I attempted to sleep.  That worked better today then it does some days. Milly decided she wanted to spend the day in the buff, so, since we weren’t going anywhere, Amanda and I let her until the evening, when our small group was coming over. She didn’t nap much, if at all, today, and we could tell that later in the afternoon when she was very needy and whiny.  It was cute …
