Milly’s Return

When everything went down with the lockdowns and all, Amanda and I had a discussion and decided that since the weakest link to spreading the coronavirus was Tristen’s work with the hospital, we were going to have Milly stay just with Amanda for a while. Milly’s last time with us was March 17. Milly and I texted and FaceTimed much more often, but since the last time she was here, I saw Milly only once; the Saturday before Easter. To be clear, Amanda was in no way trying to keep her from me. She would, I think, have been open to me getting her, and legally I could have if it became an issue (which, again, I don’t think it …

A January Beach Day

On the way back into town after the memorial service yesterday, my parents and I went to Costco to pick up a few things. Mom stayed in the car while Dad and I partook of samples while we shopped. After we got back to the house, Mom and Dad went to go pick Erin up and take her to the grocery store. Daniel was tired so he didn’t come along and Erin wasn’t feeling great, or I’m sure she would have biked. Laura and Craig came over and we all had dinner. Her mom and her sister came over to watch the boys and put them to bed for the evening. It was also a Milly day, and it was a play practice day (she’s the Genie in her school’s production of Aladdin, in case you don’t recall), so she got out of school later than usual. Since she’d have hardly any time at all at home, I picked her up, …

December of 2019

or Griffin’s First Christmas and many other things There was a lot going on in December, as there usually is, and I was very slack in recording it, as I now tend to be. So you’ll get some highlights. Berkley had a birthday get-together at the Pollard homestead. Tristen and I took the babies over there a little early and left before everyone got there, but we at least got to see some of the people we used hang out with when we were interesting. We had a family photo session from La Bella Me, Shannon, who is our friend Leslie’s sister. She did some for us last year too and they turned out great. We got dressed up and …
