Someone mentioned recently, yesterday maybe, that Pat Morita had died. Not that I ever knew him as much besides Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies and a few bit roles he had here and there, but he always seemed like a nice guy.

Today was very nice. I woke up a bit early, and mostly just played with Jackson. By 10:00 Andra and Mom were out riding horses (my mom sold one and bought two more, so she’s up to four now)

Michael had been so tired leaving his grandparents’ last night that he was going to have me drive his car until I remembered that I didn’t have my glasses and can’t see too well at night. Of course, I’d driven for years without glasses while I needed them

Thursday, November 24, 2005 – Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ve just decided that I should write all of this as though I am writing to someone who doesn’t know me or any of the people I’m talking about. Know your audience, right? (As though anyone I don’t know has stumbled across this site yet.) To that end, if I’m talking about someone for the first time in a month, I’ll give a little more background about them, effective immediately, so some of the writing may sound funny in this entry, but I’m hoping it’ll be a smoother transition in the future. I stayed up kinda late last night making a mixed CD for Barry’s birthday. I liked it enough that I made myself a copy. It had Franz Ferdinand, Flaming Lips, Secret Machines, Ben Fold Five, Old 97’s, Rhett Miller, Pavement, Ween, White Stripe and maybe some others.
