I have this really bad tendency to do something on Facebook, and that is to get into political discussions. There are a few Facebook friends, mostly people I knew in high school, that this happens with with, but it can also happen with strangers in the comments section of articles. I also tend to get long-winded. I write veritible books now and then, which sometimes get responses, usually get a few likes from like-minded people, but often go ignored. Election Day 2012

Today was like waiting for a Duke-Carolina game with the election results.  They started coming in around the time we put Milly to bed. We switched back and forth between watching recorded TV shows and election updates. Amanda stayed up a little later than usual to watch and it was called for Obama as she was getting ready for bed. Switched to Fox News some to see Republican reactions, because despite the majority of pollsters predicting such a result, they seemed shocked. The first few Facebook reactions I saw were along the lines of “Oh well.  Let’s pray for the nation and hope everything turns out alright.”  Then it got uglier. Zach Dotsey

Everybody’s Sick

Milly was still sick today and I was a little sick and Karen had a headache and texted me that she wouldn’t be coming today.  Despite all that, and despite the fact that Milly got up at around 7:15 (with a dry pullup, yay!), the day went pretty well. Of course, we just set our clocks back an hour yesterday, so it was really like 8:15 (except nobody went to bed an hour earlier).  I didn’t know Karen wasn’t coming yet either, and I wanted to get my workout as done as possible before she got here, so I went ahead and got up.
