I’d just like to take an opportunity to express that I can’t wait until college basketball season starts.  For me it officially begins on the 27th, when Duke has the Blue-White Scrimmage.  It’ll be interesting to see how this year’s team, with a little more experience and three very touted freshmen, compares to last year’s.

Today was pretty slow until about 3:00.  That’s when I realized we hadn’t gotten any e-mail at all today.  I looked into it and found out that a large attachment sent yesterday had gummed up the works a bit and prevented other mail from coming in.  So I had to play a bit of catch up towards the end of the day.

Aside from that, I started out the day making sure all the bills were up to date or had been sent out.  There was one bill (one of the more sizable ones) that I thought I hadn’t sent out yet, and if I paid it it was going to bring us to a pretty low level of available funds.  After a few minutes though, I realized that I had paid that one early and we were doing fine.  That was such a relief.  I mean, it was a really good feeling.  I thanked God for feeling that good.

Lunch with Amanda, her grandparents the Lemons, Michael and Anna at the mall food court.

Went to the gym for the first time in a while.  I didn’t feel like going, but I made myself and I felt good afterwards.  I was careful not to push myself too much.

Amanda made enchiladas for dinner.  A little spicy, but good.  Amanda makes the best enchiladas.

Other than that we watched TV.  Beauty and the Geek had the geek makeover, and most of them were surprising improvements.  Watched last week’s Reaper while the new one was coming on.  Also caught up on Smallville.  Apparently a lot happened in the one Amanda accidentally erased last week.

Talked to a client at 10:00 tonight.  He’s on the west coast and doesn’t have a computer in the shop, so we set up a special certain time to talk about some updates he needs.  I knew he was computer illiterate, but man, I don’t think I’ve ever come across such a degree of it.  I’m not saying anything bad about the guy- I really like him, but I can understand now why he doesn’t send much e-mail or have a computer in his store.

Amanda was laughing at me from the bed while I was on the phone with him.
I spent the rest of the night playing Halo 3 with Michael.  We weren’t doing too well, so we played a game mode I’d never seen before called Forge.  In it you can go around and add things to existing levels.  It was pretty fun.  I made this one ridiculous secluded room that had every possible weapon available in it.  After that we played the level.  I won, but in all fairness Michael wasn’t really playing to kill at first and it ended up being close.  Whoever controlled that weapons room I made had a pretty distinct advantage and would get a few kills in a row.
