At Port City Community Church this morning they started a new series focusing on a personal walk with God.  For part of it, they’re doing something new, which is a talk show style interview with people sitting in a living room setup.  I was watching it on the big screen to the left and after a minute I said to Amanda, “Do you think they’re shooting that live?”  Because, you know, it looked like they were.  Amanda laughed at me and pointed to the right.  The whole setup was under the screen on the right, which had been just out of my peripheral view.  I felt like an idiot.

We helped with Grow Zone after the service.  My room was tough today- one kid who is usually just fine cried a bunch and some of them were very riled up.  It usually goes really smoothly, but we had to work a little harder than usual today.

Amanda and I went home for lunch and to let the dogs out.  We watched The Soup then headed over to Wrightsville Beach to go for a walk.  There was a little bit of a wave out, so I let Amanda attempt to walk Bruce and Harvey while Anna walked Scout.  Amanda brought Harvey back before Barry, Michael (who I called to come out surfing) and I had finished putting on our wetsuits.

The waves were small and they were pretty much all shore break, but the three of us had a good time out there.  Barry’s glove ripped almost as soon as we got out there so he went back in to change gloves and grabbed Big Betty while he was back at the house.  He needed a bigger board than the one he’s brought out.

After the beach Amanda and I stopped by Wal-Mart and picked up some groceries and such then went home and made dinner, which we invited Nick and Amy Warkentien over for.  We all hung out for a little bit then they left because Nick wanted to read a book and I wanted to read books.
