The guy came today to set up our surround sound system. He seemed like a pretty cool guy. He even went a little above and beyond trying to help with looking into an issue with a cable hookup in the living room and gave a lot of advice on how to get the most out of our system. He was also a Duke fan because, as he told me, when he moved here from Philadelphia, to sum it up, all the Carolina fans seemed to be Cowboys fans and Braves fans and they annoyed him, so he started rooting for Duke out of spite. But then he got into it and started really liking them.
Work is ramping back up towards busy.
I got an e-mail today from a new couple who wants to join our small group. I told them we were meeting tonight and they could come if they wanted, but the wife, the one I talked to, said she didn’t know if they’d be able to make it. They didn’t, but that’s not a huge deal.
Small group tonight was pretty fun. Since we’d all been away for a bit I decided to make it a social, and since no plans were made I told everyone to just go ahead and eat beforehand or bring something to eat, as opposed to the usual thing where someone makes dinner. The women were talking about something or other in the living room while us guys (me, Elliot and Kyle anyway, as Rob and Kristen said they couldn’t come) talked basketball. Eventually we pulled out Rock Band though. Everyone but Melissa played a little.
