Milly first woke up at about 6:30 or 6:45.  I went in and changed her then put her back down.  She cried a little more, but she mostly slept for about another hour, at which point I got up and fed her and changed her diaper.  She was cheery for a little while, but then she went back to sleep, giving me time to eat and read before starting work.

Amanda (whom I had to wake up at 9:00) usually takes care of Milly in the morning to let me sleep, but last night I was really tired and fell asleep on the couch at about 10:30.  Amanda took care of Milly for her late dinner (which I guess is now her last meal before wake up time, whereas that used to be at 3AM) and let me keep sleeping, so I thought the least I could do was to let her sleep in a little this morning.

I worked until about 6:30 so as to tweak a site I’m integrating into our CMS.  I’m not quite done with it, but I should be soon.  Amy and Eli came by during that time and Amy ate a chicken pot pie dinner with us while Eli watched from Milly’s swing.  Milly napped on the couch.

After I put Milly to bed the girls decided to watch a movie, and we ended up watching Weekend at Bernie’s.  Amy had never seen it.  Nick showed up about a quarter of the way into the movie.  He’d never seen it either.  I say this every time I see it, but I think the girl in it looks a lot like Jennifer Wynne, a girl I went out with for a little while my sophomore year in high school.

Anyway, Nick and Amy hung out for a while and took off a little while after Milly’s second feeding, then it was beddy-bye time.  Hurricane Bill, who doesn’t seem to be threatening landfall, should be kicking up some good waves over the next few days.  I’m already planning on going surfing tomorrow with at least Seth, but I’m really hoping to be able to spend a lot of the day on Saturday out there.  The waves are predicted to get up to about 4.5 feet with 15 second periods!
