Last night wasn’t the best for sleep.  Milly woke up at 1:00.  I went in, changed her diaper and put her back to sleep.  She was awake again at 2:00.  I went in, spent some time with her and put her back to sleep.  She woke up again about ten minutes later.  I let her cry it out that time.  I think she woke up a few more times after that.  Amanda and I considered going to the guest room, but the bed wasn’t made and we didn’t feel like making it at that time of the night.

The really sucky thing is that Amanda, who has a cold, was sleeping better last night than she was before.

Milly seems to have a bit of a cold too, which is probably why she was fussing pretty much the whole way to the mall today, which is where we went to meet Amanda’s grandparents for lunch.  Or maybe it was that she was hungry.  Either way, it wasn’t a fun trip.

She did enjoy being at the mall though.  She got to eat yogurt, a few fries, some bread, rice, chicken nuggets, grapes and some ice cream.  Michael and Jenn showed up as we were finishing up.  She also danced in front of Abercrombie again, which amused a girl working at the Rainbows kiosk and an elderly lady who was walking by.

I worked the rest of the afternoon then Cyra Sherburn came by to watch Milly while Amanda and I went to a small group leaders meeting.  When we got back Cyra stuck around to watch 30 Rock (a live episode!) and The Office.  We watched Community after she left then Amanda went to bed.

I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.  Elliot Clark and I are heading to Duke’s Countdown to Craziness, the season kickoff celebration.  We’ll see some skits, a dunk contest, the Blue-White scrimmage and the unveiling of Duke’s fourth national title banner.  I can’t wait!  Then the games start a few weeks later.  Yes, basketball season is nearly here, and it feels like Santa Claus is on his way.
