It rained some today, and when it wasn’t raining it looked like it was going to rain.  The remnants or effects of Hurricane (Tropical Storm?) Emily.

Amanda and Milly joined Anna on a trip to Beulaville late this morning and were gone most of the day.  Karen and Phil met them at Peggy and Earl’s.  Peggy is doing well from all reports, though her legs have swollen up quite a bit.

I had a pretty productive day myself.  Nothing much interesting to speak of though.

I finally got Scott interested in a directory project I came up with.  Hopefully I can get it to work out, then we can make it easily replicable and make some bank.

Amanda and I watched The Fighter after we put Milly down to bed.  I knew nothing about it except that Christian Bale had lost a lot of weight to look like a drug addicted former boxer.  I thought it was going to be a negative story, one without a happy ending, and I think I thought that because it seems like Oscar-buzz movies about people like the people in that movie tend to end badly, but I was surprised.  Not to give too much away, but the ending was much happier than I expected out of something based on true events.  I just read a Wikipedia article on Mickey Ward, the main character of the movie though, and it seems they left out a good bit of his career.  There’s a sequel in the making though.
