I woke up this morning and felt industrious, which lead to me cleaning the sink area in the upstairs bathroom. It’s now all nice and shiny. I then did a little bit of a workout that I’ve been doing intermittently lately. It involves stretching, pushups, situps, something to get the heart racing (jogging or something of that nature) and the rowing machine.
I had a bit of a frustrating day today at work. It was mainly one issue that I was having a lot of trouble with. I won’t go into details, but I did take it out on a poor, hapless milk jug. I beat the crap out of that thing, and I’m generally such a laid back person.
I went out for a bit after that. Had to pick up the drugs for the kids (pet meds for the pets, in case you’re worried that I’d actually buy drugs for kids).
Amanda and I spent most of the evening picking up and actually did a good bit of laundry. We’ve had several piles of clean clothes lying around that we finally got around to putting up, plus we did a couple loads on top of that. We’ve still got a ways to go though- the poor closet is a mess.
Don Senick came by the house. His new wife, Laurel, had kicked him out of the house (she was hosting her ladies’ small group tonight) so he came by to look at something for us, plus he brought a bunch of dog food. He had a bunch left over from when he fostered dogs and didn’t need it any more. That was good timing, because we were getting low and now both of our dog food containers are full again. Thanks for everything, Don!
After Don left I went by Nick and Amy Warkentien’s house to feed and water Gipper. Didn’t see him this time. I tried calling Nick on the way there just to check in with them, but I didn’t get an answer.
After I got back I made myself a meatball sandwich. Amanda and I watched a few minutes of the first half of the NC State at Carolina game. Carolina was up by some small double digit margin and ended up winning it 89-80. Amanda and I then watched Lost and she went to bed. I stayed up and watched a few episodes of The Naked Archaeologist on History International. Odd name for a show, I know, and he doesn’t go around naked. There was interesting series of episodes on about theories on what happened to the original Jewish Christians (Judeo-Christian), about how they were in between being Jews and Christians and how they didn’t really fit in with either religion and eventually died out.
