First off, happy third 29th birthday to my sister, Erin.  I called and left her a message with Milly telling her happy birthday.

Milly had a very good morning.  After waking up around 9:00, she was very active.  What was the most fun to me is that Amanda called me to the living room to see what Milly was doing: she was singing!

Now, she’s sounded like she’s maybe sung a little before, but she was most definitely singing today.  An episode of Yo Gabba Gabba was on and she was singing (and dancing) along to Please?  Thank You!  It’s a very simple song that goes like this:

Please?  Thank you!
Please?  Thank you!
Please?  Thank you!
Magic, magic, magic, magic.
(Repeat three or four times.)

She sang some again later when the Warkentiens were here.  All together, she sang Please?  Thank You!, Don’t Stop, Don’t Give up, and Good-bye.  The first and last of those she sang even without the music.  The way she sang Good-Bye was particularly sweet because she was actually changing her pitch some.  Melted my heart.

I stayed pretty busy with work most of the day though.  After work we had, as alluded to, Nick, Amy and Eli over for dinner and games.  We had tacos then let the kids play a bit (introducing Eli to Yo Gabba Gabba so we could see Milly sing some morealong the way).  Before putting them down we asked Eli and Milly to give each other a hug and a kiss goodnight.  Milly was sitting on the floor and Eli stooped down to give her a kiss on the lips.  It was very sweet.

Both kids were very entertaining at dinner.  I can’t even tell you what it was they were doing that made them so entertaining, but they were.

After they went to bed, we adults played a game of Dominion and a game of Carcassonne.  Amy and I tied at Dominion.  The tie-breaker is supposed to go to whoever had the least number of turns, but Amy and I both had the same number of turns.  Officially it was an outright tie, but I had more money than Amy, so I got to sign the box and put my name first, though I did put a star next to it.

Nick won Carcassonne.  I was able to pull out a coup in beating him to some farmland, but despite that effort, he pulled past me and Amanda, who placed second.  It helped that he got most of the cloisters.

Amy’s working early tomorrow, but Nick and Eli might come over for waffles for breakfast.

In news news, Mubarak stepped down and Egypt is celebrating freedom.  This is obviously a huge deal, and it’s exciting to see what will happen next.
