Bruce was entirely obnoxious last night. He kept scratching at the door and whining and Amanda and I would have to get up and put him back in bed, trying to keep him with us. There’s no telling how much actual sleep we got last night. Around 5:00 I figured he might actually have to use the bathroom, so I let him outside for a few minutes. I had a bit of a time getting him to come back inside. We finally let him out of the room for good at 7:00.

Michael and Phil went to work, Amanda and Karen went to do some final shopping and to get a certain birthday present engraved. I tried to take a nap, but either the house phone or my work phone kept ringing. I finally got up and took a shower and played some Call of Duty on Michael’s Xbox 360.

Amanda got home but then took right back off to Jacksonville to go shopping with her daddy. He said it was his yearly visit to the mall, and that’s probably not an exaggeration. I went with Michael to pick up a few things for Sarah, more just to keep him company and get out of the house than anything.

We played some Perfect Dark for a bit until dinner, which was the last of the beef stew Amanda made last week. After that we watched some TV, but I was starting to fall asleep, not having had any sleep the night before and never getting the chance to really doze off during my nap time. I slept for a couple hours then came back downstairs and watched Forest Gump, from the part when he was in Vietnam to the end.
