I’ve discovered, or perhaps rediscovered, that Bruce likes to sit with me while I’m reading in the papasan. I was sitting in it last night reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Bruce jumped out of bed then jumped up into the papasan with me.

I did a lot of laundry today. We’ve had some clean clothes laying around for a while but the dirty clothes have piled up so I washed a bunch today between phone calls. Amanda hates having a big pile because then it’s more daunting, but she was running out of work clothes and I was out of t-shirts.

I planned on mowing the yard this afternoon after work, but the sky was cloudy and there’s a forecast of rain for tonight or tomorrow. I figured I’d wait to take my shower for the day until after that, but since I didn’t end up doing that I worked on the clothes while Amanda made her way home. She started picking up downstairs so I put away pretty much everything but her pants and skirts. Once she came upstairs I jumped in the shower.

All of that, of course, was because it was the first time that Adam and Meagan from our small group were coming over and we wanted to make sure things looked nice for the grand tour. They got here at the same time as Elliot Clark and Melissa Nicholson. Rob Peterson and Kristen Barriner weren’t coming tonight. I think Kristen was studying for an exam and Rob was out of town for work. Or maybe that’s next week.

The study tonight was a good one. It was mainly about exploring your motives, and I used the example from earlier tonight when I put away the laundry I didn’t mind doing so Amanda wouldn’t complain about what I left for her. The other nice thing about tonight is that it was a very open discussion. I didn’t expect Adam and Meagan to open up much yet, but they didn’t have a problem sharing with the group.

After everybody left Amanda and I watched The Office. I think we at least chuckled throughout the entire show. It was one of the best episodes in a while. Not saying any of the recent shows were bad, but I think this one was just better.

Amanda went to bed and I downloaded the new maps for Gears of War. Xbox Live was doing some odd thing where Chris Flowers and I could find each other online, but we couldn’t find any game Michael was on. It was like there were two different servers and we couldn’t even connect with him using game invites. I sucked tonight anyway. Granted I haven’t played much in a while and the maps were new, but I really was pretty pathetic.
