Happy Cinco de Mayo!  College students around the country are getting drunk tonight in celebration of Mexico’s independence from Spain.

Mia Kay saw a picture of me on Facebook that I’d messed with a little in Photoshop a while back and said that I looked like Frylock, a character from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.  That inspired the following.

My boss and I had a talk today about what my plans are once Milly gets here.  He told me to take as much time as I needed- he even threw out “two weeks”.  I told him I may need to sleep in for a while, but that I plan to maybe take it easy but still answer phones and e-mails.  I don’t expect I’ll miss a whole lot.  We’ll see, I guess.  Really, I can’t afford to miss much since I could miss out on some sales, which would really hurt since we’re going down to a single income for a while.

For small group tonight the ladies planned a surprise baby shower for Mike and Sarah Nowak, so we skipped the study and ate snacks and socialized and gave little baby girl presents to them.  Mia went all out with the decorations- streamers and balloons… they even had little pink baby hand and footprints stamped onto the paper plates.

We just sat around, talked, hung out and listened to Hispanic music.  I think it was nice to be able to just hang out and all get to know each other a little better.
