Milly woke us up at 3:30 and 7:00 this morning, which I figure is pretty good for a brand new baby. Let’s hope things stay as easy as that.
I did do a little bit of work today, banging out a proposal for someone I talked to a while ago who wanted to start moving forward with a project. Hopefully that’ll go through, because we’re down to one income for now and this month hasn’t been the most productive for me, commission-wise.
Karen’s been such a huge help. With Amanda recovering from her surgery she’s not able to lift or bend over much and she’s not very fast at getting around. I know Amanda wishes she could do more, but the fact of the matter is that without Karen I’d feel like a single father of two. Not only has she been helping us take care of the baby, but she’s been cleaning around the house. She even suggested that I should go surfing sometime today, but unfortunately the waves, though big, were not good today, according to Anna Frazelle.
Speaking of Anna, she brought us lunch today. We had turkey and cheese sandwiches, Sunny Delight and chocolate banana bread.
We had a pediatrician appointment this afternoon- our first trip out with Milly. They had her in the system as a boy, so questions asked included whether her testicles had dropped yet and if she’d been circumcised. Given that she’s very clearly a girl, the answer to all of the above was no. We’re going back on Friday to have her weight checked, which is just because she’s being breastfed.
After we got home Amanda took a nap, which is something she never does. Later on we updated our Facebook pages, since I had people clamoring for pictures of Milly.
I also updated the iPhone to version 3.0. I heard a lot of people had issues with it, but it worked just peachy for me. Best thing I’ve tested out so far: the long awaited copy and paste feature!
