Milly did great sleeping in the pack & play in the bathroom last night too.  I think she was awake around 7:00 again, but still kept herself happy until 8:00, her regular get-up time.

We headed over to the other beach house and had breakfast, after which Milly took a nap.  I went out surfing with Michael, Hannah, Christian (who had come up for the day, along with Kirsten’s friend Mikey) and Barry.  It was a little flat out, but there were some pretty good waves to be had now and then.  I don’t think it was as fun as yesterday’s second session, but I did get my best wave of the weekend today.

We played some four-on-four cornhole.  It was me, Mikey, Hannah and Christian versus Amanda, Jon, Karen and Michael.  They beat us 21-18 or 19.  While we were doing that, Kirsten was playing with both Milly and Cailey in the shallow water.

Most of the rest of the day was spent just hanging out on the beach or in one of the houses.  Amanda and I were both tired today.  Being out in the sun a few days in a row can really take it out of you.  Milly was tired too, and we put her down for a nap around 3:00, but to make sure she’d sleep well tonight we got her up at 4:30.

Somewhere between then and dinner some of us were watching the ECU-Tulsa game.  Tulsa scored a touchdown with under two minutes remaining to go up 49-45, but ECU was able to come back and score as the clock ran out.  A referee called a silly “excessive celebration” penalty, which put them back 15 yards or so to kick an extra point.  Of course, the kicker just downed the ball and ECU won in a very exciting finale.

Dinner was spaghetti tonight, after which a group of us walked up to Dairy Queen.  Jon and that crew were there ahead of us, but we found out that they had been the next in line for about 20 minutes.  Apparently there were two people on duty, but they were just fooling around in the back of the store.  The rest of us decided to leave.

The Frazelles and Michael took off after that.  Ryan, Tripp, Jonathan, Jacob and I played Puerto Rico.  Amanda helped out for about half the game.  I didn’t think I was going to win because I only had eight victory points in the chips, but I had a lot of points from the buildings and beat Jacob (who had gotten a lot of coaching from Amanda) by just a couple points.

Peggy, Amanda’s grandma, seems to be doing better from her shingles, but she is definitely not feeling well.  I hate to see her in the condition she’s in.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned yet or not, but Milly has started signing “eat” over the past few days.  It’s a sign that neither Amanda nor I have showed her, so that  means she picked it up from her sign language video.  How cool is that?  And she looks so cute doing it.  Sometimes though, when she really wants something bad enough she’ll go through please, more and eat all back-to-back.
