I’m seeing all this stuff on TV about Halloween, and I can’t help but think back to when the spookiness of Halloween had some power in my imagination.  I guess I’m too grown up to feel that anymore.  It’s a bittersweet thing, I think.

Milly woke up at 4:00 this morning and did not want to go back to bed.  Her diaper was pretty saturated, so I changed that of course, but no matter how tired she acted she would not lie down when I put her in the crib.  After about half an hour I just walked out while she screamed and told Amanda that I was going downstairs.  She followed.

This was the first time in a few weeks that Milly and I took our Monday trip to the grocery store.  We got a few more things than usual.  I let her get out of the stroller to sit outside the store and eat a long john.  She about attacked the thing today, whereas usually she’d just wait for me to give her little pieces of it.

Milly was alright today, but she was a bit needy.  I think she was tired from this morning.  She probably went down for her first nap around 9:45 and didn’t get up until 1:00, then went back down around 3:30 and stayed down until almost 6:00.

After Milly went to bed we watched How I Met Your Mother and The Event.  Amanda went to bed after that, but she told me about a story that was supposed to be coming up on the news where some women somewhere literally had skeletons (or her kids!) in her closet.  She said the woman was pretty crazy looking and came downstairs to put the news on, but the story never came on.  I eventually switched it back to Pawn Stars and American Pickers, my Monday night History Channel lineup.
