Milly was sick today, waking up with a hoarse voice. She told us a few times that she was having a bad day. After her nap though she told me, “I’m awake. I feel better now!” She was still a bit hoarse, but she felt well enough to affirm to me that her day turned out to be a good day.
I was pretty busy working on a few websites today. I did take some time to go with Amanda and Milly to the bank (where Milly got the sticker you see that she decided to put on her arm in the picture) and meet her grandparents, Anna and Kirsten for lunch at Atlanta Bread. They were all going to help Peggy find a dress for Hannah’s wedding while I was going to take Milly back so she could get a nap and I could get back to work.
That’s pretty much how it played out, although I did let Milly play in Brilliant Sky for a few minutes before we left. The shopping crew ended up being gone for about five hours. It wouldn’t have been so bad, but Milly was fussy going down, pooped about half an hour after I did get her down and once I got her up wanted something every few minutes, so it was very difficult to get much done.
Peggy and Earl bought some Chick-Fil-A dinner for us, though their original idea was to go to Cracker Barrel. Amanda didn’t think it would be a good idea for Milly given that she was sick and could easily get moody. She was good for the evening though. After the Lemonses left the three of us played a game of Candy Land. Milly really seems to like playing it. She’ll pull it out and set it up and everything. She’s not always terribly focused on the game and sometimes she moves her piece in the wrong direction, but it’s still fun to play with her.
After Milly went to bed Amanda picked up a bit and watched TV while I made some big progress on a website. I got about as far as I was planning to get with it today, so I was happy about that. The downside is that I wasn’t done until about 11:30 or so.
Tomorrow I’ll be helping Amanda’s friend Robin Crabtree move some stuff into her new place here in Wilmington and Ben and Jessica will be here at some point in the morning. I need to mow and I’d like to go for a jog, but I don’t think all of those things are going to happen.
