millys-dance-classBusy as I’ve been today, I took an extended break to go to Milly’s dance class today.  It was the last one of the year and Miss Michelle let the parents sit inside the dance room to watch all their little girls perform some of the dances they’ve been learning.  Milly seemed very excited that I was going and couldn’t wait to get me into the studio.

I love watching Milly dance.  She doesn’t pay the best attention and she’d always a little behind, and there are a lot of moves she can’t quite do or hasn’t figured out yet, but it’s cute and I can tell she’s trying.  She is, for the record, the smallest and youngest girl in the class, as you can see in the picture.  In fact, she’s in a class ahead of her age because it was the time that best fit our schedule.

At the end of the class, all the girls got to go have a cupcake and received a Christmas ornament.

As much fun as that was to watch, Milly was moody for a good bit of the day.  She’s gotten to where she really doesn’t want to listen  to us, which earns her trips to the corner a lot more often nowadays.  The Griffins came over tonight to eat dinner and exchange kid gifts, and she was really acting up right before they came over.  Coupled with the work I was trying to get done, it was downright exhausting.

Milly was pretty easy on me early today.  I played with her some first thing, but then I suggested she play with her Groovy Girls, since she hasn’t played with them in a while, so she brought them downstairs and asked me to get her rocket ship (a souped up cardboard box) and she kept herself pretty occupied with those together.

I think I mentioned yesterday that one of my clients was related to one of the victims of the Newtown shootings.  He actually called while I was working on his site today and I offered my condolences before we talked about his site.  I’ve never met him in person, but he’s always seemed like a really good guy to me, and I hate that he’s going through what he is.  He did tell me that the outpouring of support has been amazing.  He said he’s had probably a thousand emails from people from all over the world.

Amanda and I resumed watching Supernatural.  Apparently we’d only watched the season premiere so far.  Amanda pointed out that the “previously on” part was particularly detailed, as if they knew we’d be watching after not having done so in a while.
