We had a pretty ordinary Sunday. Woke up, got ready, went to church. We got bagels instead of going to Atlanta Bread, which is sort of our secondary Sunday morning tradition. Milly took a pretty long nap after breakfast during which Amanda and I watched some episodes of The Soup and I took a nap myself.
Once she finally got up we read a couple short books to her then went to the Griffens’ house. Amanda drive because we were invited to go to the Masons’ for the Super Bowl, so we were going to just leave from there.
No teeth were injured during this visit. The kids played, we talked to Gavin and Christin. A co-worker of Gavin’s had brought some bedbugs to their house and they were still putting things away from that mess.
From there, as I said, we went to the Masons’. Milly almost immediately took her clothes off and put on one of Callie’s princess dresses. The Warkentiens showed up a few minutes after we got there. Three three-year-olds and two one-year-olds made for a good bit of screeching. The thing they played the most was where Eli was a monster and Milly and Callie were princesses. It quieted down a little when we showed Eli how to make growly monster noises instead of screamy monster noises.
We left at halftime with the Ravens beating the 49ers pretty handily. When we got back to the house it was time for the halftime show, which we let Milly watch before putting her to bed. Then the power went out in half of the stadium, so we watched a few episodes of Go On. It was back underway when we were done, and it was a much better game from then on. The final score was 34-31 with the Ravens winning. Even Amanda was interested in it. We somewhat arbitrarily decided to pull for the Ravens, so that’s good I guess.
