Amanda saw Milly tip toeing on our carpeted landing area this morning.  Milly told her she was trying to be quiet so she wouldn’t wake us up.

She’s still a bit sick, but it seems to mainly just be coughing and a little sniffling.  She went to school today.  When I picked her up I let her play with Eli at the playground near the school for a few minutes.  Amy had Ada’s hair up along with some bangs, first time I’d seen that.  It was very cute.

Milly kept herself entertained for the most part this afternoon, although I think she’d hit the peak of the point where you can let your kids be mostly unsupervised and is sliding on her way back down.

After homework Milly went outside “to hang out with Harvey” and came back inside almost immediately with a bug that she dropped on my desk.  Told her no bugs in the house unless they’re in her bug cage, so that’s where it went.

Soon after she was making a potion at the kitchen sink with rose petals and water.  The next time I came back I saw something on the bridge of her nose.  Figured out it was sugar and she’d eaten almost a full container of it.  Told her she wasn’t allowed to eat anything on the counter anymore without permission.

Later Milly went upstairs to play in her room.  When I got there I found her in her bunk, which she’s never been too keen on getting on by herself.  She got up and down easily and so I said something to her about sleeping up there, but when I told Amanda she was not ready to let Milly do it yet, citing the reasonable concern of her getting up and down it at night while having to pee.  Amanda wanted to make sure it was something Milly could do well, but I’ve noticed her coordination has gotten much better and saw her climbing on things like ladders very well at the park.  Maybe next week.

A guy whose clients’ sites I’ve worked on a bit sent me a client today.  They were a bit desperate because they had made this big marketing push only to find out that their hosting account had disappeared and there were no backups or anything anywhere.  Fortunately the referrer had the theme (design) files, so I was able to start with that.  Most of the content was found in documents, so I was able to use that, too.  I’ve just got to put all the pieces together, and there’s no documentation, so I don’t know how much it will be like it used to be, but I should be able to get it working well.

He said he might have another client for me tomorrow.
