Amanda had a doctor’s appointment this morning and so worked a little late. We were out of most lunch food that Milly would like, so I took her to Subway. She ordered a ham and turkey sub with cheese and actually ate a good bit of it, finishing the rest later at home.
On the way out of the Subway, walking to the car, a Sheriff’s deputy let us cross. He waved to Milly, who waved back, so he stopped, got out of his car, went to his trunk and got a plastic junior deputy badge for her. Milly and I both thought it was really nice of him.
I had a good work day. Between today and yesterday I gained a pretty decent amount of recurring income. Two accounts are from one new client I’ll be doing some contracting for, and if it goes well there should be more of it. They’re actually setting me up with a place to work within their office, an email address, a phone line, the works.
Amanda went out to the Wine Sampler with Tristen and her friend Sam this evening. Milly and I hung around and, at her request, played Skyrim for a bit. She took another shower, this time doing most of it herself (although she didn’t wash her hair).
We’re in need of a twin mattress for Milly, since she’s moved to the top bunk of her little doll house bed thing. We did finally move her other mattress, which she’s been using since it was in her crib (and converted bed), but it doesn’t take up the whole area of the top. Still, it’s an improvement. We’ll probably take apart and store the crib/bed this weekend.
Milly’s excited about tomorrow. Callie and Brynn will be coming over for a while, then Nana and Paw Paw will be here for Michael’s birthday dinner. And while all the rest of us are out at Indochine, Tristen will be watching her. Amanda asked, and Tristen is Milly’s favorite among our friends.
Amanda and I watched the first episode of the second season of The Following. While we’re both a little annoyed that Joe is back (as much as I like James Purefoy, it just took a bit of the realism of the show away), it’s setting up nicely.
Amanda went to bed after that and I watched a new show about pirates called Black Sails. I enjoyed it well enough. It seems to be setting up for a bunch of politicking and intrigue, so we’ll see if they pull that off.
