Amanda’s stomach was upset and she didn’t sleep much last night, so she called in after the alarm went off and slept in a little bit. She ended up leaving a little while after her mom got here.
Milly spent her day with Nana. They played at Brilliant Sky and Milly got a new Green Frog (who has been “living at the mall” since Milly left the last one there) and she added Black Frog to the family. The two of them ate at Atlanta Bread with Anna. For the first time ever, Milly was able to recount what she did today when Amanda asked her what she did after she got home. She said something about Nana and Brilliant Sky. Or at least Brilliant Sky, maybe not the Nana part. I can’t remember, but I’m sure Amanda can.
So Scott and I had a talk today. I won’t go into a whole lot of details, but I won’t be a Venuecom employee after the end of the year. There’s been no complaint about the job I do or anything, it’s just the economy. Sucks. Scott offered to let me take the rest of the day, but aside from feeling slightly drunk, like I was swaying slightly from left to right, I was okay with it. I spent the evening ramping up efforts to get something going for myself. I consulted with several people on a name and such, and the overwhelming favorite of the domain names I found that were available was nextwaveconcepts.com. We’re pretty positive about it and feel that while we wish there was more time to get it going, it could be something really good for us.
Amanda and I both took it really well. I do have lots of things I could use for Christmas now though, including a phone, an LLC and a merchant banking account.
