Milly’s First Meeting

When I got Milly up to go to the bathroom last night she told me she was sick.  I wasn’t sure at the time, but she was right.  She seems to have come down with a little cold. Been trying to get a meeting with one of my top clients for a bit and this morning was an available time, but of course I was going to have Milly with me.  One of the people there had been wanting to meet her for a while anyway, so I was told to bring her along, and thus Milly had her first meeting today. Before the meeting we filled up the gas tank and dropped a check off to pay for Milly’s …

Milly and Lauren at Port City Gymnastics

At 9:30 this morning I took Milly to play with Lauren Nowak at Port City Gymnastics.  They have open gym for $5 in the mornings.  I didn’t stick around long, but they were really having fun when I left, and Sarah said they were funny playing together.  It’s good for both girls.  Sarah has said that Lauren doesn’t have a lot of girls her age to play with, and Milly gets bored stuck in the house all day. Work was work.  Put out some fires, got some things done.  Amanda and Milly were laying Just Dance this evening, which has become a pretty regular thing.  Milly’s been improving at it.  When I finished working she and I played MarioKart, though …

White Hair of Death

Milly was up around 7:30 this morning.  She wanted Amanda to go into her room to turn off her monkey light (night light) and get some toys.  She was apparently afraid because she saw a head (or maybe hat, but I think she said head) and was scared of it.  We weren’t sure if it was a dream or if she saw a shadow or what.  Anyway, she eventually got over it, played a bit, then got in bed with us.  She wanted me to play Temple Run 2 on the iPhone, but I was snuggling with Amanda.  Milly wedged herself in between us; I guess she really wanted me to play that game. At some point in all that …

Blokus

Amanda, Milly and I had dinner with the Warkentiens tonight.  When we got there, Milly wanted to play with Eli and Ada’s new play kitchen, Eli wanted Milly to play with his monster trucks and Ada, after she decided Amy didn’t need to hold her, wanted to play in the kitchen with Milly.  Of couse it all changed around here and there.  At one point I put How Bad Can I Be from The Lorax on my phone and Milly and Eli went nuts.  They both ran all around the room singing “How ba-a-a-ad can I be?” as loud as they could.  I wish I hadn’t been playing it on my phone, because I’d have loved to get video of …

No, it’s Jiffy

It turns out that Prince Eric’s name was Jiffy.  His owner, or former owner, because he had recently been given to a new owner and he escaped his first day with her, picked him up.  Amanda and I didn’t get to see him off because she came while we were at the leaders meeting at church.  He was a nice puppy, but he barked every time someone went upstairs and when he was outside for more than a few minutes.  He also chewed up a toy ring of Milly’s and two ink cartridges. Kirsten, who watched Milly again tonight, told us that Milly wasn’t upset to see him go.  Milly was in constant fear of him chewing up her toys. …
